Lovely location in the hills only 15 minutes from Lucca by car and 25 minutes to nearest beach. The breakfast was very good plenty of choice and the staff very friendly. The rooms were cleaned every day and the bathroom was spotless. Even saw the fireflies one evening, magical

Very nice quiet location 9km west of Lucca. Bus service is minimal so own transport preferable. Attractive building with comfortable and clean rooms; lots of public space to sit around in, including a small library. Friendly and helpful staff.
Close to forested hills, so during autumn period the sounds of hunting are in evidence which may bother some people.

I liked the young man at the front desk. He was very fluent in English and good ideas for restaurants.
We booked Villa Del Seminario several months in advance. It had good reviews that did not turn out to be true for us. We had a very small room, one you could hardly walk around in, unlike the ones show in their advertisement. The room had no warmth at all as did not the breakfast area. The bathroom was good. They had plenty of unoccupied rooms. I am wondering why they would give us such a dumpy room when we booked way ahead. We told them we would stay only one night so when we checked out they charged more money because we had booked for 3 nights, at a reduced rate. This place may be good for others, but our experience was not good. We booked a different b&B.

Pretty, romantic place in the former seminary, at the end of the world. But be careful - there is a really just basic. The simplicity of the room is sufficiently balanced with the place atmosphere and warm and kind behavior of staff.
Be careful when parking - the local situation may cause damage to the car or tires.

it was a very simple hotel room which was nice, the bath room was pretty big and there was a really really beautiful patio outside where we could sit and read.
the air conditioning wasn't the best, but it was ok. otherwise it was really nice.

This is an immensely relaxing and peaceful place. The old monastery/seminary building is very beautiful, and while the room we had was tiny, its whitewashed walls exuded the calm of a monk's cell. Breakfast could be taken inside or in the cloisters and seats were provided in the peaceful courtyard under shady trees in front of the building, where we were encouraged to picnic when we did not want to go out in the heat of the day. Reception staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The view from the couryard in front of the seminary is peaceful, rural and hilly. A lovey place to stay, still decorated in the traditional manner fitting the idea of the seminary.
The room (ours anyway) was extremely small and it was a little difficult to dispose of luggage and still manage to walk round the beds, but these rooms are completely in character with the building and just need to be accepted as such.

It´s ery near of Lucca, only 5 minuts by car Breakfast very good (Buffet)
Algunos pueden encontrar este hotel demasiado sencillo ya que las habitaciones solo tienen la cama y una mesita. Nada de tv o Aire Acondicionado. En realidad es un b&B. El único fallo que le veo es que por lo alejado que está de todo, tendrian que hacer bocadillos al menos. Solo tienen un bar de bebidas.
